Karibu ("Welcome in Swahili") to my stamp shop.  “Twiga” is Swahili for giraffe and as you have probably figured out Africa is very special to me.  My name is Alison Farago and I have had the good fortune to have worked in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and had many a fabulous safari.  I also volunteered in Sierra Leone after University and the beaches in Salone are second to none. I have been fortunate to travel extensively on the continent and so it is only natural that African stamps are featured in my Shop, however as you'll discover when exploring my shop, I have made some great contacts and so offer STAMPS OF THE WORLD primarily since 1990.

My husband worked for a stamp dealer and auctioneer in Canada after university and so we understand how important the condition of the stamps and covers you buy is and so we take great care in handling and packaging your purchases.

We find it easier to list our stamps chronologically by country BUT we try in our descriptions to use KEY WORDS like “Birds” “Chess” “Trains” “Flowers” so that you can search our shop using those keywords.

We want YOU to be happy because stamps have been a passion of my husband since he was 8 and we want you to share in that same excitement that he felt at that age when he received new stamps in the mail.

Finally, we strongly believe in the delcampe “ethos”, we do not have a website, a marketing department or accounting team, we let delcampe do that for us and price our material at prices which we feel that even with the delcampe fees added should still offer you REAL value.

I hope you find some items for your collection!! Let's have some fun!!
