    I think it reads:
    'Gruss von der Weihnachts Kneipe des Beamten-Verein der AEG & [...] Berlin 17 XII [?] 1898'

    In translation:
    'Greetings from the Christmas pub of the Functionaries-Society of AEG & [...]. Berlin, December 17, 1898'.

    'Beamten' can be translated as 'Functionaries', 'Officials', 'Employés'.
    'Kneipe' can be a pub, but also a party in a pub.
    I'm not sure which translation would be the best as I'm not a native English speaker myself.
