It is recommended that you create fee templates to enable the automatic display of the shipping costs (shipping, handling, discounts) your buyers will have to plan for and to facilitate the management of your sales on a daily basis.

Using fee templates will ensure that your fees are clearly defined in your terms and conditions of sale. Buyers can easily determine and calculate which fees they will need to include when they buy an item, based on their region and the shipping method they select, etc. Your terms and conditions of sale will be clearer and you will receive fewer questions about them, which will save you time and facilitate sales.

Shipping fees will be calculated automatically for payment requests based on the fee template associated with the item. If you prefer, you can choose to approve the request before sending it. The buyer will simply have to select their preferred shipping method and make payment. The fees you set upstream will be automatically taken into account. This will also save you time and facilitate your transactions.

Different fee templates are available: fixed price, by weight, by quantity or by total invoice amount.

The articles below provide a detailed explanation of how to create the different templates and their specificities. Click on the templates that interest you.

Tip: by activating the “Authorise the buyer to pay without waiting for a payment request” option, the payment request will be sent to the buyer automatically. It will include the different delivery options you’ve defined in the template associated with the item sold. The buyer will simply need to select their preferred option before making payment.

Note: If you sell items that are linked to different fee templates (for example, a stamp for which you chose the fixed price template and a coin based on the weight template), you will have to manually calculate the shipping fees before sending your payment request/invoice.
