    The true repercussions of DC's recent payment system and regulations are only now coming to light. While the information was conveyed through extensive texts and rules, let's face it – not everyone reads into the details.

    A 14-day window for the buyer to make payment seems quite lengthy in my perspective. Fortunately, the majority of my buyers promptly settle their payments, aligning with the expectations of our interconnected global environment.

    Interestingly, DC's competitor has never required me, as an individual seller, to provide a TIN for selling in the US or globally. This requirement only comes from the EU now!

    Many of the new payment regulations are rooted in EU laws, highlighting the increasing intrusion of the EU into our daily lives.

    If you list on an EU site you should expect to adhere to EU rules and regulations. Whether that is intrusive for listers like me and you based outside the EU is immaterial

    Much the same applies to eBay - an American company - that enforces US laws and regulations on its members. For example not being able to list items from North Korea, Cuba and Iran or indeed most passports!

    All good but it's the process. They should go after the big fishes, not private sellers who occasionally put something up for sale.

    On the competitor issue ...
    I doubt it. If ebay still can have their shady global shipping program, which is the biggest scam ever, then they also will "lobbying" their way around.

    Great to see that payment time is now reduced.
    The payment terms are now the same for the whole site (payment within 7 days via PayPal / Mangopay). :d-happy:

    Erratum: removal of the "I introduce myself" field on Delcampe (Email from today)

    But you didn't highlight the error which is the 7 days - now 14 days!

    14 days is way TOO LONG!

    Well, 14 days payment time and 14 days return time are two different topics.

    I find 14 days too long, but luckily my buyers always pay instantly or a day later.
