Marking forgeries in Germany - how does it work?

    Hello,

    I am trying to find out what is the marking process for fake stamps, forgeries, etc.. in Germany;

    This country, to my knowledge, is the only one to have a real policy on fake stamp marking, and I would like to have more details on the process, if possible.

    Few questions:

    -Who has the authority to mark fake, forgeries, bogus, etc...?

    -What is the reaction from professionals and experts; do they cooperate? Do they lead the process?

    -How are sellers/vendors "forced" to mark their fake stamps before listing them? What happen if they don't?

    -What is the reaction from the sites, do they cooperate, do they remove illegal sales (sales with fake stamps not marked)? I am assuming the the vendor has the right description (fakes), but no mark on the stamps.

    -What is the process if an authentic piece is marked "falsch" by mistake?

    -How the German philatelic industry is reacting/behavioring to this marking policy? (clubs, associations, federations, auction houses, experts, big merchants, collectors, etc...)

    -Does this policy have any side effects on the industry, is it efficient, does it introduce inexpected problems?

    -Any details, comments will be welcome, links toward sites explaining the process will be appreciated as well. Responses in English or in French are ok.
