Judging by the image, this is a large format card. Very likely post WW2. As you say yourself, common view of Paris - not worth anything as far as the image is concerned.

As far as the censor stamp on the back is concerned. I don't have a clue. Usually a censored stamp is found on a written postcard sent by army personel and the message has been read to insure it doesn't contain any army/combat/sensitive information.

The more observant among you may notice that the picture isn't actually L'Arc de Triomph, which suggests to me that this is a war-time publication with deliberately misleading titling - I have similar cards from England published during the Great War where the original caption (usually on the front, a la Valentine's) has been obliterated and replaced by a spurious location

My guess is that these cards were checked for suitability prior to distribution for writing/posting and that this example wasn't actually used for sending 'home'

    Hi,

I am looking for in Paris but your postcard looks like Madeleine's church but not "Arc de triomphe" it is not the same building and they are completly different. Very strange because back of the card it's written "Arc de triomphe du Carrousel?????" You can compare the two picture below.
