Search - No item has been found message

    Wednesday 13th Feb @ 8:35 AM GMT - the search facility seems to have collapsed. I am attempting to look at categories where there are well over 1,000 items listed and am getting the "No item has been found message".
    It was working OK at around 7:30 this morning, but seems to have collapsed since then.

    Unfortunately all's still not right with Search!

    I think this has come up before.....

    When I open Stamps - Germany - [3] Empire, I note that currently there are 314 items listed under "Booklets", for example.

    However, when I browse into the Booklets section, I can see no more than 196.

    Why not the others?

    This is happening with other sections I visit too.

    Unfortunately all's still not right with Search!

    However, when I browse into the Booklets section, I can see no more than 196.

    Why not the others?

    Jorija - I tried this particular category search and got 314 global and 308 in the actual browse.

    A possible explanation is that the global count of 314 in that category represents the total number of items there, whereas when you click on that category to actually browse it - what you will get is the result of a Filtered search which excludes all items from the sellers on your blocked sellers list. Hence, assuming that you have blocked some sellers who list in this category, you can expect the browse count to be lower than the unfiltered global count.

    Also, I suspect that the global counts are not updated as frequently as the dynamic browse counts.

    Thanks very much for your help!

    I am very embarassed to say that yes, I had forgotten I had hidden a few sellers and with these restored, I find 308/314!

    Two of these sellers had lots of panes I needed, so I'm pleased I asked, even if it was a little foolish to forget these hidden sellers.
