And quite obviously, there will be NO further reductions to such as the buyer's fees. Sebastian puts it down to economic factors and cheap to medium items not selling anywhere to the same extent.

This may well be true, however, I know for a fact that more than 1 previousy regular buyers from me on Delcampe are now buying elsewhere ( the one with the moustache), instead. Buyers are, and will continue to vote with their feet.

It was stated that D* have been losing money, fair play for Sebastien for admitting that, but is this a case of 'a sledgehammer to crack a nut'?

Unfortunately to increase income significantly quickly, you need to raise fees even more significantly to allow for people significantly changing behaviour (e.g. merging low value lots) or just giving up in disgust. Delcampe have gone so high that they may end up losing turnover.

Delcampe would have been better raising fixed fees slowly over the years and we would not have yelped as much if we got 15p an item, then 16p an item etc etc, but that ship has well and truely sailed.

The Sabastien's suggestion to reduce prices have produced zero impact on one of my clients. I have spent one week to convince him to reduce prices. Prices reduced but ZERO sales.
On the other site starting with E sales are as other months
On my opinion D* have maked a wrong decision. If D* have lost $$$$ the decision to increase the fees to 10% could be made by the sellers as E* does.
Or it would be better NOT to highlight that the sales fees are paid by the buyers. It's a psychological issue.

True, although Delcampe did try to raise seller fees a few years ago ( perhaps about 2016 or 17) and had even got as far as announcing them, albeit with no definite start date - probably they were testing the water.
This was floated and then well and truly abandoned, never mentioned again. I suspect some of the very large sellers just said 'no way' and possibly threatened to close their stores - who knows?
From this though, I reckon that's why Delcampe decided on the buyer fees route as they reckoned they would get the same response again. As Sebastien says the business was making losses, then it was the only option open to them

Delcampe have raised all the fees though, sellers item fee was 23p without discount (14p with club+discount), now buyers fee is 27p. sellers fvf was 7%, now buyers is 10%.

The psychological issues are real though, my guess is that buyers feel as though prices have risen a lot more than they actually have with all the negative chatter on here.

A lot of sellers have discounted (like me) but I cant discount a 25p lot by 27p however much I try!

The discount was needed yes. Before I listed with a 25p minimum lot, and these were listed as a service to buyers in filling blanks, and to enable multiple purchases. It allowed me to accept a 20% discount on older stock and not be losing money on fees.

Now I list at 10p minimum, which gives a buyer cost of 38p (a 50% increase).

Im also grouping lots to give buyers more value (and keep my lot count down). A buyer will pay say £1.47 (my price £1) for one lot rather than £3.80 for 10 stamps of different values from the same set. In these cases Delcampe are theoretically getting less fees than under the old system if someone bought all the lots (£1.57 in fees under the old system for 10 lots, vs 47p under the new for a single lot). A lot of buyers used to buy a few values from a set anyway, but buyers only requiring one of the values are worse off.

Why should you worry more about Delcampe than necessary? It's a business partner, not your sweetheart. If they put themselves on the sidelines, then so be it. As a business partner, I am not interested in why that is the case. That's Delcampe's problem. I can point it out to Delcampe, but that's all I do. Delcampe is paid for mediation, not for presence. I can now look for new partners. I'll just stay as long here as it brings in something, then I'll just leave. And if sales numbers increase on other platforms, like what's happening right now, then I'll just follow:

I agree to a certain extent. With larger companies it is as you say, you buy the service they offer, or go elsewhere.

With smaller suppliers like Delcampe working with them can give you both benefits to create a better service for both of us. It's not an infinite lifeline, but I tend to give smaller companies a bit more slack than a multinational.

    No news from the live
same blah blah on the new payment system.
    Suggesttions by D*.
    1) slow selling prices (great idea...)
    2) work as a PR for attract more buyers

The Ukraine war and Gaza situation have impacted on D* sales D* says

At my end I have stopped any software update for D* for all my clients and I concentrate efforts on E* (where sales are more or less the same every month)

    I agree,

I think we can see the reason for the fee increase as well at 1:01:30 ( Link (https) He mentions that Delcampe was losing money.

"...that is the trend (to lose sales) for a few months, MAYBE 1 or 2 YEARS!"
As I said before, the new global legal/tax challenges are only the half-truth of all these changes.
Sebastian missed the opportunity (for trust-building and more openness), to be more clear on user/sales statistics. What's the problem saying we have x% less monthly users and x% less sales?
    Be transparent!

Finally got a chance to view the video. A useful overview of Delcampe's thinking on recent changes & what is planned. Was pleased to see reduction in the Plus monthly charge & that they will be improving the lower offer system which currently has some definite pain points.
