    Dear Forum Users and Admins,

I sent the invoice with the shipping cost to a customer, in which I selected the weight category up to 50 grams. However, after sending it, half an hour later, I weighed the items and found out that their weight exceeded 50 grams. Therefore, I should have chosen another category and rewritten the invoice. Unfortunately, Delcampe did not allow me to make this change.

My question is, do I now have to cover the difference in weight? And why?

Thank you for your assistance! :whiteflag:

If the customer has paid the invoice, I'd say you send it and swallow the small loss (and be slightly more careful in future).

I know that Delcampe have rightly clamped down on fees being increased after purchase/invoice being sent. They buyer should know what they are paying for before purchase with no hidden costs.

It hasn't been paid yet, but it can't be changed. The postage cost can be checked in advance by every buyer; the issue here was that I didn't check the weight of the two items. Generally, I can only do this by finding and weighing them, which takes about 20 minutes of work, and I wanted to save time. Well, it didn't work out. The solution I found is to send two letters because there are two items. The cost of 2 letters under 50 grams is only half of a letter weighing between 50 and 500 grams. The cost for under 50 grams is 1155 HUF, while the cost for over 50 grams is around 3900 HUF.

It's impossible to increase the postage cost of an invoice once it's been issued. This happened to me once, when I was tired and mistakenly put the wrong shipping cost. I just posted it, even though the postage cost me more than the item sold for.

This has happened to me once before, if I remember correctly, but back then it was only a 10-cent difference that I misjudged. I don't recall the details exactly...

I cannot understand why Delcampe will not allow you to change the invoice once it is sent?
I had same issue when I accidentally charged for UK postage when the item was being sent to the US.
Surely, if makes no odds to the customer who will know that cost of postage before buying not does it affect Delcampe.
