I have neither a passport nor a driving license, therefore I don't exist! Yet I've been a member of Delcampe for 13 years (so it keeps on telling me) and I've written for magazine!

Ah I see. You had not mentioned that Delcampe pay was the problem. Have to say that, even though I have identity docs and am registered gor D-pay, I simply will not use that system until it matches or exceeds the standards set by paypal!

Maybe another member can explain to me the advantages of D-pay over pp and other payment systems.....

In the meantime, maybe you can use your balance to pay Delcampe fees.

Spose I could just let my payment of Delcampe fees get into red, then perhaps they'll tell me how I transfer money from Delcampe pay (without driving license or passport) Reminds me of old BBC play was it Brian Blessed? (sounds like him) swimming the channel, almost gets to the other side, turns round and swims back, says "Who wants to go to France anyway"!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your message.

On Delcampe Pay, your identity is verified by our banking partner Mangopay. Mangopay has certain legal obligations and therefore requires a passport or driving license. If you do not have one of these documents, your Delcampe Pay account cannot be verified.

However, you can credit your Delcampe account with the balance of your Delcampe Pay account. You do not have to wait until your Delcampe balance is negative to do so. Here is how to proceed: Link (https)

    Best regards,

    The Delcampe Team

Dave, I haven't verified my Delcampe Pay account. I simply use it to pay my Delcampe fees and make the odd purchase.

Thanks for the note of D-Pay/Mangopay advantages. It s much the same out here in remote Philippines

On transferring to my bank, my USA Euro or GBP balances have to be converted into local currency at a cost of about 5pc which is a higher rate than other exchange, systems. However, the whole process is seamless and the money is in my bank account within 1 minute of making the transfer. Also, I think that the Mangopay bank transfers are via IBAN -- this is a European system that is not used outside of Europe - I think that costs are involved in using SWIFT

The pp buyer protection is a bit onerous to the seller....but over here the difference in price between ordinary airmail and registered tracked airmail is only $1.50 USD so everything is sent registered unless te buyer requests otherwise.

So all in all, there are no benefits to me in using D-Pay that I can think of...
