    I hereby make a suggestion for subcategories in the Polar Philately area. My suggestion is made from the experience I have with Polar material so far, I have handled around 2.500 expedition covers and have a similar amount waiting in my attic (and searching for more). Most of it has been Antarctic with Russian and French covers in majority. From the Arctic area Norwegian and Russian covers are in majority in my stock. As you will see I have divided the area into:

    - Antarctic and
    - Arctic.

    Then I have listed the main operators in each area. Not surprisingly the activity in the Antarctic is far more diversified countrywise than in the Arctic area. I have also made a suggestion for a couple of categories to be included in the postcard section. It's my experience that there are less postcards (I may be wrong) to be found which is why I have settled for only two categories so far. If needed a similar diversification as under philately could be built.
