Does anyone write a description of the card being sold? Is there something I'm missing here? When I look at cards to buy there is no description and a lot of times it is just the name of the city that's the title. If it is posted I see a date in the title, but it doesn't say it was posted. A typical title is "San Francisco 1906"

I took a couple of screen shots to illustrate.

what about the condition? Absent. MIA. if they crop the photo you can't see corner or edge wear, if they post a tiny photo you can't even see the card.

In my opinion it is buyer beware on this site. I have been lucky most times I have bought here, only once or twice has the card been not as I expected. But how can you complain if there's no description?

Am I the only one who actually describes the card and condition? Or maybe there are some others, I haven't see any in all the ten years I've been using this site.

Does this lack of describing the postcard lead to less traffic and ultimately less sales for everyone? In my opinion, it doesn't attract more customers and it could be chasing them away. I get frustrated when I look at a listing and there is only a photo, maybe out of focus, cropped close or even so small it's not a photo, its a thumbnail.

It is also frustrating because it is next to impossible to narrow down the search results and searches give lots of results or none. Is this due to a lack of description and a short title? Probably.

If it weren't free to list here, I probably wouldn't. Despite the free listings and all, I am still considering leaving. I am not a heavy lister and its because there's very little traffic. I have have only spotty luck selling here. I even offer free shipping worldwide, have low prices and it's hit or miss, mostly miss. It really is a waste of time.

    Please give me your thoughts.
