    Yes that is right. PG was the french shortword for prisoner of guerre. The text on the card is written in German language. Fritz tells his friend Eugen, that he has to work almost in the agriculture. That was usually the work prisoners of war had to do. The card was written in the town Etampes France at 6.8.1917.

    I am not that common in uniforms but I think that this was an normal soldier. The writing on the backside says: "Mr." censorship let pass this letter with the card inside please.
