C115 colour error? how to verify?

    Hi I have had this in my collection from stamps off envelopes.

    Has anyone heard of an error on the airmail issue Scott C115?

    I am pretty sure it is not light afding as the other stamp attached on the same envelope was normal. Unfortunately as a novice collector I floated off the two stamps and separated them.

    Would this used stamp hold any value to collectors of US?

    There is one other fault with this used stamp in that it came off a red envelope, but this is not what altered the color as the other stamp was unaffected.

    Thoughts please...I was offered £5 some time ago by a dealer maybe I should have taken it!!!

    Probably of no or little value but interesting to know what the flaw/error or cause is...

    thankyou just shows dealers can be generous sometimes £5 would have been good bac then!!

    Never mind I will keep it as interest none the less.

    glad to draw a line under this one.
