    There seem to be problems with the invoicing system. I am starting to see separate invoices for each run of purchases that a buyer makes. They are not being automatically grouped. The only way to group them is to send multiple invoices! This looks stupid and unprofessional.

    [N.B. This is different to the scenario where an invoice has been sent and the buyer makes further purchases.]

    There still seem to be so many niggling problems with the new system. And sales are being affected for sure.

    Delcampe start a new version of the auction site with hundreds of problems, but it's the sellers who must explains the buyers about the problems.
    Every day I got 1 or more ERROR messages on different pages on the new Delcampe, but closing the page and start it again the are no problems.

    I had this yesterday also. Buyer bought 6 items, all at the same time, presumably from his 'basket'. They came out as 4, 1 and 1. It was impossible to amalgamate any of the 3 'separate transactions'.
    I sent one invoice, adding the 1 and 1 sales together as an addition to the group of 4, which he thankfully paid for, presumably because he knew (as he was a good repeat buyer), what his final total was going to be.

    The site is obviously still very unstable, as you say, and it is up to the seller to explain things. There are a number of very good bits to the new site but concentration on site stability would be a distinct benefit now that the basis of the site are seemingly in place.

    I have just had the same happen with a buyer of multiple phonecards. All purchased at the same time but had to send three invoices so that the final invoice could be a combination invoice with all items.

    Very unsatisfactory as one relies on Delcampe to get it right particularly in view of the polyglot nature of the site where often it is not easy to explain a problem in simplistic enough terms to someone whose first language is not English!

    I can see that we could set up a competition to see who can send the most invoices to a single customer for transactions that should have been grouped together. Btw, mine is 4. Anyone done 5 or more?

    System has just worked perfectly for me for 5 sales to 1 buyer. Lets hope it has been sorted properly for all.

    It doesn't happen every time. I've had sales over 20 items work perfectly and others that are a mess. I hope that it is fixed but lack confidence these days.

    I was advised this it was fixed but sadly this is not the case as I have had another incident today. They are working on it again.

    No, not true.
    You group the purchases together by sending 3 invoices, one after another. The system will end up pulling all the purchases together and the buyer will only settle the final invoice. It is, however, a nuisance and doesn't look good to the buyer. I always send an explanation to the buyer.

    That's the seller's mistake then. The capability to combine the purchases remains. It is just not very 'elegant'. The seller must have sent you the invoices without selecting / allowing the option to combine the purchases. As you can see from this thread other sellers have achieved combining purchases albeit the 'workaround' we are using is not the way the system was designed to work.

    surely this problem should have been sorted out by now. It has been ongoing for days. Just had to send 4 invoices to cover a total of 9 sales to one buyer. as you say this is annoying and must be totally confusing and off putting to the buyer. Sales are low enough already without this type of problem

    The option is there. You click on invoice and if there is an existing invoice to combine then the option to combine or not will appear. If you don't see that option then you should contact Delcampe.

    It is the fact that this option exists that allows the other folks contributing to this thread to group the purchases by creating multiple invoices (which we shouldn't have to do).

    I don't understand why the option would be available to sellers in this thread and not everyone else. That would make no sense unless it is some weird Browser related problem. I suggest you report your problem to Delcampe for an explanation because it appears to be different to what is being discussed / reported in this thread.

    This is a new one as far as I can tell and you should report to Delcampe. I have had no problems with additional charges / discount within the invoicing system.

    I will be inspecting all payments very carefully though.
