Full Item description AGAIN, please!

    Hello all,

    DC is very dynamic and progressive to optimize the user experience - which is much appreciated.
    But why is now an extra click needed to see the full item description? This is not very user-friendly.

    I wish you'd go back to, as it was - with full description when I opened the item.
    What's the benefit for DC to making this change?

    What's the community thinking?

    Agreed, yes, please go back to the old style - I use quite lengthy descriptions sometimes so this is not an improvement !

    We have decided to limit the height of this field to prevent the page from being too high.
    We will see if we can increase the height but we will not go back to its previous height.

    I will let you know when this is done.

    I guess it's about the page load time. A full description which needs a lager (higher) space, needs milliseconds more to load. I do not really understand the benefit of this change by DC and also prefer a full description instantly. But maybe DC will give us a reason why they changed it...

    Ah right thanks. Seems a trivial issue by which to make descriptions less visible. I know many people don't use them to their full extent but I like to do so. Well. we will see what they say !

    Thanks, that is a lot better, it allows people to see there is a long description to read, even if they cannot immediately see all of it :)
