Is it still possible to search for items by using personal reference numbers. I have sold an item listed 6 1/2 years ago that is missing my personal number. By trial and error it used to be possible to narrow the search area to find the item. any ideas would be welcome

Yes...if you know the whole number or reference. The facility to use the * if only part of the reference is known seems to have disappeared.

But as your reference is missing, why not try search your archive by by buyers nickname, buyers name or part of the title. My archive seems to go back 7 years.

good morning. thanks for taking the time to reply. archive wont help cos the cardsold yesterday. my reference numbers would be a letter of the alphabet and number. simple as that. I used to be able to enter various random reference numbers into the search engine to narrow the date down ,which woud tell me what box it will be in. under advanced search nothing seems to work like that. thanks for trying to help.
