    congratulations for the new options to calculate automatic the ship and work costs. How are the names of the fields to write this informations into the items records. It only took 9 years :) :) :)
    But you have forgot the value of the weight for the packing materials / cover etc.. To calculate the total weight, you need this value one times from the item with the highest value from the list of items in the invoice. Without this value, you can not calculate the total weight!

    A customer is shopping. When he has finished shopping, he clicks on the Invoice request button on the Delcampe website. That triggers an email. This email is automatically evaluated by our IT system. The result is that an invoice is generated in our inventory management system. This process then also calculates the correct shipping and ancillary costs. The buyer automatically receives an invoice by email.

    This invoice then also contains the data for manual invoicing on the Delcampe website, including information text and shipping costs and any processing costs that may arise. This data is then copied to the manual invoice on the Delcampe website. Some of the customers use the automatic invoice for payment. The other part of the customers is waiting for the manual invoice to be generated on the Delcampe website.

    It would be nice if there were a corresponding notification as an alternative to the email with the invoice request, but nobody has responded to my requests in this regard for years. Furthermore, the "Invoice Request" button has the following problems:

    Not all customers know this way.
    Many people write a message instead of using the button.
    The button is not found.
    The button is not clicked after buying the last item, or the button turns gray after clicking, which means that if the customer buys more, the button no longer works.

    .... The button must not turn gray, the customer must always have the opportunity to repeat the invoice request so that a correct workflow is created and the latest status of the purchased item can be taken into account.

    So if Delcampe continues manually, these templates won't help us at all, because we've had such a simple calculation for a long time.

    These templates are only useful if the rules defined with them lead to them. that the buyer receives the following information without the involvement of the seller.

    1. Display of the additional costs in the shopping cart based on the articles in the shopping cart, or their update with each additional article that is placed in the shopping cart.

    2. Option for the buyer to decide whether he wants to pay immediately after the purchase or whether the purchase is initially completed without payment with the option of adding to the order at a later point in time.

    3. The chosen method of payment and the total value of the order have an impact on the shipping costs. For example, in the case of PAYPAL payment or from a certain value, shipping is only carried out against proof of dispatch and receipt, as e.g. only by registered mail.

    So that everything works automatically, additional information must be stored in the article data:

    - Article weight (resolution 0.1g)
    - Weight of the necessary packaging (resolution 0.1g)
    - Necessary shipping envelope (package, format of the letter small / large etc.)
    - or ID / name of the associated template (ebay)

    I haven't had the time to look at everything exactly, what was being done and how it works. There has to be a transition period. It is currently not possible to create an invoice without creating these templates beforehand.

    Free shipping from a certain value is a rule above the templates, so it cannot be defined on one level. Likewise, the processing costs, which normally only accrue below a certain value for an order.

    Payment costs, such as with PAYPAL, always consist of two components, a fixed price and a percentage of the total value. Alternatively, you can turn things around by granting a discount for a normal (online) bank transfer without an additional payment service provider.

    Incidentally, it is urgently necessary that a minimum value / minimum amount of the total order can be defined for the discount request, from which a discount is granted.

    We think it's great when things move forward at Delcampe, but just ask us before something is developed and goes online so that we can help you find the right functions.

    We still urgently lack the possibility to transfer the receipt of payment and the shipping data / tracking number via API. Many customers pay with normal bank transfer without PAYPAL, without DelcampePAY. Do not make the same mistake as ebay with the new payment processing, where this is no longer possible. Many customers are leaving eBay for this reason and have switched to Delcampe or Hood.

    I tried to create a shipping rule, but I calculate the shipping cost starting form price and weight and destination country.
    It seems I can only put a generic "European" and "Other foreign countries" shipping cost, while the shipping cost in Italy are divided, at least, in 3 different area and relative costs.
    That means that I can not use this new system.
    I guess Delcampe should take a look to EBay shipping rules and make something similar.

    These shipping costs / additional costs templates only serve their purpose if the buyer is shown a consolidated result that matches the contents of his shopping cart. The various options for shipping and ancillary costs are already stored in the respective terms and conditions for commercial sellers. So the question is what can the buyer see after completing these templates. How is the whole thing consolidated? How is it summarized when items are purchased with different shipping methods. All of these questions have not been answered. As long as there are no answers, the templates cannot be created at all because the effects cannot be seen. The answers from support on this topic are still missing.

    Sorry, but I have to say that. This whole procedure is again typical for Delcampe, somehow totally haphazard.

    Dear Delcampe team, why don't you ask your big salespeople beforehand (TOP 150 or something) when there are such serious changes. For example, we've been selling stamps through online shops for 15 years. We also have a lot of experience with technology. API interfaces, etc. We know exactly what is important and which solutions are useful. We know all platforms (ebay, Hood, Oldthing etc.)

    We are happy to help you. Set up a dealer advisory board or something like that ...

    It is still not clear to us whether this is an automatic system or again just a manual option for the buyer to view the various shipping options of the respective seller. If it is only manual again, this system does not meet the legal requirements of the EU any more than it does now.

    With 3 small additions, a considerable improvement could also be achieved with the existing system:

    2. Under point 4 Free delivery - the amount from which delivery is free must be linked to a country / region, e.g. for Germany from 50 euros and for Europe from 150 euros.
    3. For the point under or collective bids under 4 Additional settings, a minimum amount must be able to be defined or, even better, a certain discount is possible from a certain total amount, for example from 50 euros 10%, from 100 euros 12% etc. .

    It is still unclear how the customer should now choose, for example, between normal and large letters, because that is not an option that the customer can specify, but it is a result of the purchased item, which only fits into a large letter, for example pure and of course always the question of how is the weight calculated, where do the individual article weights and the packaging weight come from.
