Given all the problems there are with the site at the moment, they are probably up to their necks in email.

There is a lot to be said for pester power!

IMHO there should be an appeal process against unfair feedback - particularly in the case of buyers who do NOT pay. In this case the transaction is not complete so feedback should not be left.

When statements left can severely damage your reputation - whether buyer or seller It really is not good enough for someone incensed by unjust feedback to be ignored.

If the OP has copies of his Emails I would continue to send them until he gets a reply explaining why no action is being taken. The current situation is just a mockery taken that feedback is deemed an important part of the Delcampe process.

Agree with you,I think it's a time when Delcampe must make some changes.A problem is,that I don't see that anybody from Delcampe pays attention to what is happeniing with a feedback system. Dispute option against unfair feedback doesn't work.I have a dispute opened in Feb,1st and there is no help from Delcampe ,as well as no response tp my emails.

    Hello Koshelapka,

It is untrue to say that we did not help you at all.

We actually did help you and we are still waiting for the information we asked you.

The thing that annoys me most is that the buyer doesn't respond. If there's a problem paying, they bid and didn't realize (yeah, right) what they were bidding on, you name it, I can wait a little for payment.

The discourteous people who have no sense of fair play seem to do this as if it were a game. I have at least 3 - 4 people right now who haven't responded within 10 days. Invoiced nicely, sent a reminder 9 days later. I think that's fair, but some people have a nasty habit of thinking they are better than someone else, keep them on a string and make them sit and spin.

I won't do that. 30 days, no response - closed sale, 0 for feedback and a nice message to go with it. The gloves are coming off.

This is after a fellow bid 3 times on an auction and wanted to back out 1 day before the end. I offered it to the 2nd highest bidder but no response. Closed it, posted a neutral feedback (because the buyer did e-mail me and respond a few times).

I guess it's "my turn" to get hit with some jokers. It was going too good for a while... and, to top it off, they've all been on-line here within the last 24 hours.

I will not, however, let it ruin my day. There are plenty of people I can become friends with, without the hassles, drama and stupidity.

Same here.Waiting about 4-5 weeks and then,if there is no payment leaving well deserved negative.
Just left 27 few days ago to one "buyer" ,check him out Hynnka,72(!) out of 843 sellers left 0% feedback and he is still on Delcampe with 98% score..He refused to follow auction policies, tried to force me to accept his rules,by end simply ignored my emails and Delcampe's dispute.
Contacted Delcampe about him and there is no answer ,maybe Miranda will respond ? Buyers like Hynnka must be eliminated out of Delcampe. He's paying to some sellers, while just ignoring other.I wasted to much time for this person and really disapponted that there is no help from Delcampe :angryfire:.
Would recommend to add Hynnka to blacklist .

I would be careful putting a person's name up for ridicule. Now that you have done it, it won't be erased.

That said, I can understand the frustration and the wanting to make someone "feel like we do". In most cases, the money's not worth the effort.

There was a fellow who sent some stuff - on time, but I didn't receive it until way after the 90 feedback limit was over. It must've been manhandled by the posts. Which one, I can't be sure.

Anyway, I only posted neutrals because there was no true way to find out. I tried to contact the seller, but all of the e-mails bounced. I tried to ask delcampe if I could change the feedbacks, but alas, it was too late.

This is an oddball scenario, because it took about 4 months to get the items. They may have fallen behind some counter somewhere until someone moved it and saw the letter. Who knows. I haven't seen the seller here on delcampe since then. I wonder what happened...

It's the real game players that are troublesome. Yes, folks, there are some BAD people out there who get their jollies by trying to pull someone elses strings.

Most of the people I have dealt with here are good people, who are enjoying their hobby, their buying and sales. These are the people I will stand by, support and sell to. The others? They know what they can do... :D

A seller can only spend so much time on the time wasters who bid, win and don't pay. However frustrating it is one must move on instead of battering ones head against a brick wall.

Leave factual negatives - add to the blocked bidder list and if one is a member of collector/dealer internet forums or blogs warn others about the buyer. Even with the problems outlined in the previous posts on Delcampe there are only a fraction of the problems I used to encounter on Ebay. When I stopped selling on Ebay I had a blocked bidder list several hundred strong. Here on Delcampe my blocked bidder list is less than 10 in total.

You can quite easily re-list the items and get the seller fees credited to your account by Delcampe. This is probably the trigger to get the wasters booted off as I have seen some buyers with very low feedback scores still on Delcampe and other around the 98% mark being kicked off which makes me suspect it is the financial aspect that gets a dead beat removed.

If you sell a lot it does not take long for the negative feedbacks to disappear and your aggregate score to bounce back to 100%. Those that do research feedback and hunt out the negatives should be able to see from your response that the buyer was a deadbeat so should not affect your sales.

I shouldn't provide his name, you're right, just dealing with him was a big headache.Thoug I just tried to warn others about his strange behavior.
By the way on Russian postcard forrum there is a special one with names and nik's of bad buyers and sellers,it's a good idea as other can be carefull dealing wich them.
Also I have to agree, that most of the buyers here are honest and serious.Anyway it would be a good idea to have tougher policies for not responsible buyers.

Yes, reputation is a big thing. Goodwill goes a long way. If your sales / purchases show that you are reputable and one "snake" comes along to upset the apple cart, the list of well wishing people usually wins out over the whines of a brat child.

The only way to ferret out those non-responsive people is over time and events. One single instance of mis-timing can ruin a person's otherwise decent reputation.

So, if they were on an extended vacation and forgot to leave the "I'm away" sign up, oops... could lead to a misunderstanding.

But, then again, the "serial gamers", deadbeats and other sordid & sundry types are lurking in the background. This doesn't make the experience here much fun. It also applies everywhere.

I dunno... live and let live. We also live in a global community where sometimes some things are done "a little differently". Patience and tolerance can only go so far, but courtesy, like honey gets better results than vinegar.

I'll see how this works out in another week or so... :D

This, surely, is totally immaterial? Equally the buyer could have bid because of this.

IMHO the buyer should not have bid unless he was going to honour his part of the transaction. In most jurisdictions a bid is a commitment to buy - to have second thoughts afterwards is tough luck!

There is no excuse whatsoever for not paying for items won in auction or through buy it now. If there was any doubt at all the buyer should not have bid.
