Due to the "cyber attack" Royal Mail are not accepting overseas postings for the "foreseeable future" according to the clerk in my local PO.

There is a message on their website. No indication whatsoever, when this might change.

I have sent a message to Delcampe, asking if they can do a blog post/newsletter to make our international customers aware of the problem.

Royal Mail are now accepting letters that do not require customs forms.

Unfortunately Royal Mail not accepting tracked overseas items at present. No indication when the service will be restarted.

Today, for the first time, my local Post Office refused to accept an overseas signed for envelope.

And to add I am getting lots of customers now asking for refunds. How on earth can a strategically important company like Royal Mail get clobbered like this? This comes now on top of all the other woes we have suffered and is sure to have major consequences on our trade figures unless Royal Mail sort this mess out quickly.

According to my local PO they can now accept overseas registered Mail but only if you do the registration on line and buy online postage. You then have to take it to your local PO within 2 days for validation and to be entered into the system.

I personally will not send for another week as it is likely there will be a backlog with items stored in some damp warehouse somewhere!

My local Post Office confirmed this and when I had a moan to their head office in Old Street no one seemed to know what was happening or how long this was going to drag on for..
