Sello en homenaje a Rigoberta Menchú Tum
En el Día Internacional de la Mujer, Correo Uruguayo puso en circulación el sello en homenaje a Rigoberta Menchú Tum, defensora de los Derechos Humanos y ganadora del Premio Nobel de la Paz en 1992.
Rigoberta Menchú Tum es una líder indígena guatemalteca, del pueblo nativo maya quiché, defensora de los Derechos Humanos, embajadora de buena voluntad de la Unesco, ganadora del Premio Nobel de la Paz en 1992 y del Premio Príncipe de Asturias de Cooperación Internacional en 1998.

On International Women's Day, Correo Uruguayo released the stamp in homage to Rigoberta Menchú Tum, defender of Human Rights and winner of the 1992 Nobel Peace Prize.
Rigoberta Menchú Tum is a Guatemalan indigenous leader, from the Mayan indigenous Quiche people, defender of Human Rights, ambassador of goodwill of Unesco, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992 and the Prince of Asturias Award for International Cooperation in 1998.
