    Is it really a disaster day?

    Had a very pleasant surprise today and I can't recall any previous Friday 13th being particularly disastrous.

    In Venezuela it's Tuesday 13th, similar to Spain.

    Didn't have many sales yesterday, but I got lots of new bids.

    Am I right in thinking that the main holiday season is coming to an end/has ended in several European countries?

    In Venezuela it's Tuesday 13th, similar to Spain.

    Didn't have many sales yesterday, but I got lots of new bids.

    It's been wet and cold here as well - but that is not as unusual for here as it is for the south of France.

    As far as soccer is concerned, once upon a time (a very long time ago now), I used to follow Dutch and some European soccer, but when I went to S. America, there was no coverage there and I lost "contact" with it.

    I've never really got back into it after I came back to Europe. I only watched one single match of the world cup, but just showed a very mild interest in the results.

    Don't know anything about American football at all, but I hope cajun doesn't get deprived of any more matches.

    It's been wet and cold here as well - but that is not as unusual for here as it is for the south of France.

    I know that the French team weren't on their best behaviour during the world cup.

    I think with a lot of professional sport, there is just too much money involved, which makes some sports personalities (using your words) conceited, selfish and arrogant. :crazy:

    Can you order one for both Xtf and me? It would make cutting the grass so much more fun. :cool2:
    Having said that, after we finally had a reasonable amount of rain Friday/Saturday, it really needs doing as well for the first time in about 5 or 6 weeks.

    We got a few of them too, specially after last winter's severe weather - 8 months on and they still haven't been sorted out in places.
    And the one on the road in my picture seems to be getting bigger every time I drive there and it's very difficult not to drive in the middle of the road there.
    Btw, that's one of the wider roads in the vicinity.
    At least on that stretch of road there's about 30 cms space each side of the car - some of the roads around there you have the branches/vegetation touching the car at both sides.
    Last time I met a refuse truck :crazy::( Had to do a nice long reverse to get to a passing point.
