    Good afternoon,

This message comes from France ; sorry I don't speak german...

This letter was sent in 1852 from BUTZOW to WISMAR (both in Gossherzogtum Mecklenburg-Schwerin) .

    Two questions :

    - could you explain me the stempel "HAGUENOW-ROSTOCK "on the back of the letter. Is it a stempel put in a train between these two towns ?

    - what is the meaning of the letters and number in the 3rd scan. Are they a kind of "Avers-Nummern" ?

Thank you and a pleasure to read you.

    Best regards.

Yes, it's a railroad cancel from the German state "Mecklenburg Schwerin", railway line "Hagenow, Zachun, Schwerin, Kleinen, Ventschow, Blankenberg, Warnow, Bützow, Schwan, Rostock". You find it in the Feuser catalogue.
