Now I've really seen it all!!!

I just had a look at one of my outstanding invoices (the buyer is still bidding on other items).

An item appeared, that I wasn't aware of had been sold.
My first reaction was - I didn't get a email notification.

However, on closer inspection, this item was (or should I say: IS GOING TO BE) sold on 1/6/14 at midday.

So, Delcampe is now magically predicting who is going to buy what and when!!!!:d-unhappy::d-unhappy:

The item is for sale and there are no bids on it.

The last item the buyer is bidding on ends tomorrow. We will see what happens when I send the invoice.

The item was indeed added to the invoice and I had to manually remove it.

Now it's sitting there in my "to invoice" area and supposedly it's sold (or to be sold) on the 8th of JUne.

Lucky you :D:D I wish Delcampe would forecast sales on some of the items in my store:cool2:

There are other similar things which seem to be slipping as well, a customer of mine bought a few items yesterday, and I sent an invoice. He then bought 2 more items, but when I went to reinvoice him, I noticed that one of the 2 items had appeared as having been in the 1st invoice, even though it couldn't have been there when I sent the invoice as they were bought and timed after the 1st invoice was sent.

I have no clue what the customer has been invoiced for, I've sent another invoice which APPEARS to cover all his purchases, but I have no confidence that this is the case.

I realise that Sebastien has now taken over the tech. management and I wish him well I that, but I fear it may well take more than the 1 week recovery period he has talked about.

Agree entirely, it comes down to a confidence thing, and my confidence level with the current state of the site is declining even from the immediate post-debacle problems.

I have identified a further problem, at least for me, in that when I try to get into 'sold items' from the dropdown list at top right, I am taken into 'Ongoing sales with bids', which, as all my sales, at present, are on buy it now, is not relevant.
I know it's not a big problem, but it's another one which didn't exist until a day or so ago and seems to reflect the fact that just when I thought things had started to settle down, I and others are facing an increasing number of further issues, some serious, some not, which just reflect the total instability we are all facing.

For me it has been the reverse. If clicking on items with bids, I was being taken to my sold items or ongoing items, but that seems to have settled now for me.

I agree with both of you, as far as all the problems is concerned. I've reached the point where I don't like to do anything on the site, because I don't know what glitches I am going to encounter.

Yes, I agree with all of you.

My sales on D at present are sporadic to say the least and well down on previous levels so these irritating repetitive glitches are tolerable simply because sales are so low that the extra time taken is relatively minor.

Like old_postcards, the bulk of my income now comes from other sites whereas this was certainly not the case 2 years ago. Everything seemed to start to fall apart here when the sane listing policy was about to be implemented and it's all gone steadily downhill since.

Therefore, like you, I am not prepared to do much more than maintenance on this site until it these continual glitches die out. We all have businesses to run and will obviously spend our time on sites which are the most profitable......for me, this used to be Delcampe but not now. The sooner Sebastien gets matters right, the better......every day sees a new trauma. :fight2:

Note for Benjamin (if you read these this). When posting messages or replying to emails, please STOP thanking the poster or writer for their patience and understanding. For me, both of those commodities ran out some time ago. High time D either "put up or shut up"

Thanks for the mention of bids not showing up.

I contacted the buyer and he purchased the card in question. Yet it was still on the site as an ongoing sale, as well as appearing in the buyer's invoice.

    What a mess!!!

The site has become too big in too short a time. A bit like building 1000 new houses in a small town that doesn't have the infrastructure.

As far as my problem is concerned, as it was a low value item, I sent it to my customer without charging him for it, because I had inconvenienced him with several emails.

It would be nice if Delcampe could have the same consideration for its customers, instead of flashing banners in front of us on the 2nd of the month if we haven't paid our fees yet!
