They have been "updating" the site all week and items have been appearing and disappearing seemingly at random - including completely empty shops at some point during the week.

A temporary abduction of your items by aliens, but they will return them.

    Yea, they're a mischievous bunch :wink2:

Seriously though, I hope things settle down soon. I sell everything in auction format and it's rather annoying if it happens just before your items are due to end, which was the case for me one day this week. I'm fairly sure I lost some bids as a result, as similar items ending on a different day attracted some last minute bids (items that already had bids on them).

I AM a seller. Purely by accident that I replied on this thread with my "Moderator's hat on".

This week has been very frustrating to say the least. I've lost out on multiple bids and I haven't been able to list as much as I would normally have done.

Furthermore, I can't see any evidence of the "updates", which makes me fearful that we have another week of frustrations to come.

Been posting items all day. At first they seemed to be uploading and posting fine, but now they're trickling in at a VERY SLOW pace.

Either they're doing updates or someone is spamming the databases with 1,000s of items that seem to take precedence even over items posted earlier.

    Dear all,

Our technical team has indeed faced lot of problems last week, they are updating many things in the site's background.

Do you still have problems ? Please express yourself if any problem occurs, so they can continue to stabilize all what is needed.

    Seb,

On a daily basis the site becomes incredibly slow between 5 and 5.30 pm (UK time, i.e. 6 - 6.30 your time) - this was already happening before last week's events. Is this the result of some automatic updating (automatic selection, listing counts, etc)?

It is not my internet connection, because it doesn't happen on any other site.

I'm also experiencing long delays in email notifications - mostly forum, but also some "payment received" notifications.

I'm having the same problem with 'payment received' notifications - often considerably longer than the relevant Paypal / Moneybookers advices of receipt of payment. I've frequently had his 5pm problem and have assumed that it is due to the probable 'mass switch-on' in mainland Europe after the working day is over and people get home / get a chance to browse their hobby websites - something the Delcampe servers are having a problem with??
