I'm finding Delcampe exasperatingly slow today. Is there some site maintainance going on? Or other problems?

I managed a major goof up and mislisted a lot of items that need revision and I am finding the wait between pages loading tedious to say the least. The wait is between each page and then the final page hangs on 'Waiting to upload'.

It may be my internet connection but I doubt it as other pages from other sites load very quickly and I'm on fibre optic broadband.

Hi. Yes,very slow for 3 days & failed completely 2 hours ago in the middle of my listings..

I must admit that I have better things to do than wait for the site to work properly & do not fully comprehend why Delcampe insist on making minor modifications to the site when the stability of the whole site is so poor....fiddling whilst Rome burns syndrome?

I fired off a broadside to Dmitri just now.....don't suppose it will achieve anything though.

Finally, I have grown quite fond of Delcampe & still prefer it to the "other place" that I traded on for nearly 10 years.....but I can't wait for ever for the Delcampe techies to prove they know what they are doing..

I see the 'website update' banner is eventually up, about 2 hours too late!

All my auctions finish at midday and I struggled doing the invoicing. It was taking forever for the pop-up window to load.

After that I had a couple of: "the website is temporarily unavailable", so it's certainly not your broadband.

Now the banner has gone up I'm flying through the revisions!!

Its coming to the stage where I am going to have to review the time I am spending on Delcampe due to all the site hiccups. If there was advance warning when the site was being updated/worked apon I could plan my day accordingly instead of wasting so much time on page hangs or pages loading tediously slowly.

Speaking to other Delcampe users who do not use this forum there are lots more fed up users who are thinking of drifting back to the opposition and ditching Delcampe altogether. I know a few of my regular customers are very disillusioned by waiting for listings to appear and I wonder how much custom we lose due to these problems.

That's exactly why I made the suggestion to have advance warning of site maintenance.

I set a certain amount of time aside each day to list, but I can be flexible as far as in which order I do my various daily tasks. If I end up wasting time, because pages don't load/images don't upload, etc., it's wasting my listing time.

I was ok this morning because I had a dentist appointment and listed earlier than usual and had finished before the trouble started.
