Moving From Page To Page Problem

Tried it all again on another computer, albeit on the same internet provider, but this computer is a "plain jane" and the browser doesn't have any bells and whistles.

The same exact thing that I posted happened again. I was hopeful, but no dice...

I can try it on another ISP - eventually - but don't think the results will be any better.

delcampe Tech Support - any ideas?

I will reset my ADSL router to factory defaults and see how that goes. At this point, I've tried just about everything I can think of (at this moment) to alleviate the user-side of this issue.

I have exactly the same here!

I also choose for Delcampe.net (international). I search for postcards, fancy cards, woman, last 10 days, lowest price first, show 100 items. First page appears quick as ever. Second page... after waiting, and waiting (loading and loading) a blank screen. :crying2:

Oh and I tried reverse too.

After all of that brouhaha of the last few messages, I reset my ADSL router back to the factory defaults.

There was even another Firefox update - I'm using version 3.6.15 at the moment.

Everything was cleared, no caching, no nothing.

This time out of 5 pages, I got to 4. Woop de doo! On the 5th page it burped, puked and hacked up a blank screen.

I HAVE NO OTHER IDEA WHY THIS IS HAPPENING, OTHER THAN WHAT I MENTIONED ABOUT THE DATABASE STABILITY OR PROGRAMMATIC ISSUES.

HELP. THIS IS NOT A DREAM, IT IS FOR REAL. :(

( Believe me, I do not cry foul (wolf). )

Removing all semblence of Firefox, scanning my hard drive, defragging it, re-installing Firefox only with Flash plug-in, I still get the same darn response as I have been.

35 pages of Belgium, sorted lowest to highest, if puked out on page 23. Wouldn't go any further. We're waiting and waiting and waiting...

    Enough of that.

This makes it VERY DIFFICULT for me to shop for specific items and pay the best price for the best items.

The same here. I always search 'sorted' (on price for instance) and it just does'nt work anymore.
Not with Firefox (newest release) and not with Safari. It must be a bug, I think.
I'm a collector and I'm really not enjoying myself here, at the moment. Never experienced such slowness before.
Really hope something can be done about it.

Well, the page "movement" plot thickens. Check this out...

I can select an entire category of 1500+ items.
Sort them by lease expensive to highest.
    View the first page.

At the bottom, I can select ALL, which is a MUCH BIGGER QUERY. Shows all of the items, one right after the other. :)

This is, of course, after it redraws the screen and positions me back at item #1. So, I scroll down to item #101. Not a big deal, except it does take some time to load all of that info and is a waste of delcampe resources.

OK... Since it can show me EVERYTHING on one page that size, why can it NOT show me the last page when I select 234 items and I KNOW they are all still there when I attempt to reach the end. :(

I do believe that Houston has some kind of problem, although there is a pseudo workaround.

(By the way, I'm trying my darndest not to hen peck here. But, this is a royal pain in the backside.)

Yep. The problem is still present. But, being a little smarter than the average bear, I have accepted a temporary workaround. This is not good, nor is it fun. But, If I didn't work it as such, I may have missed a few lots I found yesterday.

    Annoying... :fight2:

Big photos, as in gallery. Now, you did bring something to mind here and I forgot about it. Let me check on that one and post my results. Interesting, but I guess I was blind sided!

What puzzles me is that it happened - boom! - all of a sudden after working fine for years. That's why my thinking is with either a lopsided database or a bug in the software.

One has to remember this is only for the International server, but others have seen it elsewhere.

Well, the update doesn't look good. The first image below shows may quandary going forward, lowest price to highest price. This is bizarre, because not ALL of the items were sold by the time I reached my last page.

Now, the 2nd image is going backwards in the same query from highest to lowest. I only got to 4 pages before it puked out.

Notice that for both of this images, there are 14 pages. I was using the International server when this happened.

This is just to show that I AM NOT going nuts about this issue. (Maybe other things, but no THIS ONE!)

It seems that the paging problem has "mysteriously" disappeared.

    I wonder... hmmm...
