One of my customers has reported that they are unable to get into my Store.

    His comments were:
"Not sure why but I can't get into your store in any way, even from the purchases I have made. I keep getting an error message in French from Delcampe! Do you know why?"

Does anyone have any clues? :whiteflag:

Any clues what to do when this message is encountered. Anyone know the cause?

This is what confronts one of my customers each time they try to access my Store!

    Hi!

For me there are not any problems to access your shop neither from your profile, neither from any of your items. It's perhaps a problem of your clients own computer systems.

    He has tried virtually everything.
He seems to be able to get into Delcampe but not my Store!

Still there can be some problem caused for example by his anti virus program. I for myself for few last days am receiving warnings of insecure site when I go to MyBay in the big one site.

I have just had the same message in the last hour, I reckon it's conflict with the new site as I eventually got directed to the new French website, back to the same message again and then the new site in German.

Managed to revert to the old site eventually and it seems OK now - suspect it may be happening when they're working on the new site and uploading something there.

Whatever way you want to look at it Delcampe 'new' is struggling technically. And it is losing sellers sales!

I have just posted the message below into the french forum (in "french" of course)
    BUT
when I wanted to send it, I have got the "404" again.......but I copied it before
    :deal:

when I tried to re-enter the old site again, I have got the same "404" repeatedly.
    BUT
I am kind of tricky, and found my way using a link to one of my sold items from a last week's
Delcampe message (impossible with the recent links)

Before you pass out, better try this way too

......and here it is - with a little help from google:

Right now it is impossible for me to relist the items sold on both sites. When I click on the former site "selling a similar item", I get the 404 error.
When I try the same thing on the new page, I have access to the sales-form, but can not complete the operation - I'll get that message.

OK, I think I've worked out a reason and a way to get back to where you were..

The reason is that if you are in the old site and click on any link taking you to the new site ( eg to view a lot or a sale sold via the new site), the next time you click anything on the old site you will get the Error 404 message.

The only way I've found round this is to go to the bottom of the Error 404 message screen, where you will find the blurb for the new site and you will see the item entitled 'Ancien site'. Hit this and you will get back to the old site and this seems to cancel the Error 404 nonsense, at least until you do the same thing again.

An extremely bad conflict which Delcampe are going to have to sort pronto.

VARIETY MAKES LIFE SWEET (as we say here)

contrary to the failure described above, I came now to the selling-form, when I tried to re-upload my item (for instants 329643333 - if staff co-reads?)
    BUT
the form was empty - both picture & description gone.

is this the glorious "new Delcampe* ???

    :dunno:

The problems appear to be continuing.
I have had one customer report that he can't get into the site and my Store.
I guess that's more lost business and another unhappy and frustrated buyer! :angryfire:

Just to let you know that for the first time ever a customer asked me to call him because he was unable to get into the site! This was quite difficult to do as I am unwilling to compromise my own setup by logging into the new site to try to mirror what he is seeing.

However, I managed to get him logged back into the old site and eventually back into my Store. However, in the course of doing this we encountered errors such as 404 and security 'log in' errors. And I still don't know whether further issues will arise when he tries to purchase something!

My point to Delcampe is that the current situation with the conflict between 'old' and 'new' needs to be properly addressed. The majority of users of the site are likely to be over 60 and not necessarily technology savvy. What's more they are looking for an easy user-friendly site that provides an enjoyable 'customer experience' so that they can add to and enhance their collections. They do NOT want to be confronted by inexplicable technical problems. It is unfair on them and eventually they won't come back - they won't want the hassle.

The new site appears to be incredibly unstable.

I dread to think how much business I have lost over the past weeks because of site challenges. It is just so exasperating and is wasting so much valuable time. And if I see Mr Delcampe ask one more time for users to tell him what is wrong with the new site then I'm sure I will scream. :fight2:
