    I was furious when it happened.

    Immediately before it happened I had sent a mail to my customers, about new stock in my Delcampe store, with a link to my store.

    Of course anyone clicking that link would just have got an error page. It made my mail look unprofessional, and I wonder how many sales I lost because of it.

    Well....many of my regulars are getting used to these weekly (or more frequent) outages and just come back later. However, one day soon I am sure that they will not bother!

    I don't think it makes you look unprofessional.....but it does raise queries as to the competence of D.......second thoughts - it does not raise queries, but provides an answer.

    What is more worrying, is that for the 2nd time this month I have no auctions with bids on them (I only sell in auction format). The only time this has happened to me before this month, was when I didn't list any new items during a 9 month period and even then I usually had a few items with bids on them.

    I was actually hoping to re-establish contact with old customers who hadn't purchased for a while.

    The mail out was to encourage them to look at my Delcampe store.

    This experience, all the technical difficulties, and site unavailability is not going to encourage people to return to Delcampe!.

    Yes...most of us sell on other sites and, if the Delcampe site keeps breaking down at prime selling time, several of us will move on to pastures new (or are already doing so)

    Delcampe seem to forget that sellers patience with their technical incompetence is nearing breaking point!

    No excuses, D, your sites (old & new) have been getting worse and worse over the past few months....

    Like you, I have already complied a list of all customers since I joined D several years ago and will mail out soon (privately, not on D).....but it will be to direct them elsewhere if and when I finally throw in the towel with D....

    But......you never know.......they might some day get the new site site working ???!!
