Item created but not appeared

They've started showing up now but the order is all jumbled up.

I had listed the items (stamps) in catalogue number order so that it's easier for buyers to compare with their catalogue but now they're all over the place in a totally random order.

I think I'll probably close them all & re-list them in the hope that next time they will be in chronological order - which is how they usually appear.

What a complete waste of valuable time.

I entirely agree with your comments. All my listings have appeared in a complete unintelligible jumbled sequence. They have not been remotely listed in order uploaded.

This wouldn't be so bad if the (Title A-Z) sequence feature still existed. At least then my customers would be able to re-sequence the listings into some sensible order. What a shambles - and waste of two days of effort.

Delcampe - please re-introduce the (Title A-Z) sorting feature soonest.

One of the main reasons I have not switched to using the lister is that I want my items to appear in the order I list them in and I was never sure if that would happen even before the current problems.

Having said that, over the last few weeks some times it has been taking ages to get picture to upload or listings to get submitted using the online form.

Roughly from May to July/August 2009 (see old threads in this section of the forum) there were lots of problems because there wasn't enough server space - it looks to me as if we may have a repeat of this same situation.

Listing on line is too slow as the time to upload of images is so variable.

Usually uploads from Lister appear in the sequence uploaded ... more or less. This latest debacle however was a shambles in this respect.

Of course if the (Title A-Z) feature hadn't been removed it would not be a problem as a sequencing solution would be available to customers. I have lost sales and returning customers because of the removal of this feature ... and so has the site which is becoming more and more cluttered.

Well - I closed all the auctions one by one and re-sent all the items via the Lister at 19:11 last night (Friday).

They have only just come through to the site around 10:55 today (Saturday). The start time showing on the auctions is 07:03.

Although I had created the items in chronological order in the Lister, they are still in a totally random order on the site so all the sets of stamps I'd listed individually so as to appear together on the site are all over the place and it just looks a mess.

Yet more valuable time wasted. I'm going to leave it this time until the site is more stable.

Something is definitely wrong - as Mainly says - probably running out of server space.

I've had the Site Not Available screen a couple of times this morning too.

    Seb,

Why is it that your posts are not automatically notified to all the people that have contributed to the thread? I have noticed this before ... perhaps an error in the settings?
