    I have made a lot of use of the fantastic database at tuckdb.org, created by enthusiasts.

    There is the Photographic archive of J Valentine and Co., Dundee at the University of St Andrews - but this seems to be set up for scholarly consultation rather than online browsing, at least at present.

    Are there similar databases for any of the other major (or minor) publishers? I haven't found any! But maybe there are databases for some of the French or German publishers which I would have difficulty in finding.

    I believe Dawlish Museum holds a database of Chapman & Son postcards. Not available online though.

    Curteich was a major US postcard publisher, especially known for 1930s-50s 'linen' printed postcards. 30,000+ images of their postcards -- along with a lot of other image information on the US -- is available here:

    check that: supposedly 365,000+ images of postcard under 2,100 subjects (!!!!)
