I can't blame BT without proof.

If you ship a package as the originator of sending the package you have more chance of tracking / tracing the package if it is lost. And technically it is your responsibility. It would be very difficult for your buyer to trace the package.

Similarly, Delcampe originated the notifications. How can I trace the missing items with BT when I have no information as to exactly when they were sent and via which ISP. I therefore need Delcampe to investigate. Saying it must be BT's fault and washing their hands of any responsibility isn't really good enough.

I get no notifications and I am with BT, although, having just logged in after a few days break, I note BT are claiming that there is some problem with BT Yahoo, which might be something to do with it.

I am receiving messages from everywhere except Delcampe.

    Read through the threads above.

The solution at the moment is to change your email address to another ... ideally to something that re-routes emails to your BT email address. I think the BT Yahoo thing is a red herring. I am on BT Mail.

It is a real PITA. Too easy for Delcampe to pass this off as a BT problem given that the emails originate from Delcampe.

    Then you are stuck.

You have the choice of changing email addreses to one that does receive Delcampe messages or soldiering on as before. I doubt if Delcampe are going to spend man hours tracking emails to one client who is complaining of not receiving them. If this is a widespread problem then they would spend the time and investigate further.

In their eyes the messages have been sent and, as far as they can see, their systems seem to be operating OK so, then to them, the problem lies elsewhere.

Being a member of the Consumers Association I have often noted BT are near the bottom of customer satisfaction ratings with their services with the likes of Talk Talk and Sky. This never bothered me before until I had problems with them.

Whatever ... but there are other BT users affected on the site for sure ... Moonstone being one. And I know quite a few of my customers use BT. The problem is likely to be with Delcampe's ISP.

You are quite right, the problem does seem to be with Delcampe's ISP. I have taken the advice as above and changed my email address, routing it through BT and seem to now be getting notifications & messages OK. I know another seller, cristohenge (a family member) who has been similarly affected and is doing the same thing.

As you say, a real PITA. I've never had a problem with BT before so assume it isn't primarily their fault. We'll see what happens , but for now all appears regular.

I assume from your comment that you are routing the emails to another email address (non BT) and then forwarding those emails to your BT account? This workaround works.

Delcampe seems to want to blame BT because they can see this reported issue about BT Yahoo not sending and receiving emails. I use BT Mail which is the successor email service to BT Yahoo. I have no cause to believe that this Yahoo issue is the source of the problem.

Net, it is impossible to approach BT about this matter because I lack the information to do so. I don't know the ISP that Delcampe uses and I have no information about all the notifications that have disappeared. Only Delcampe can raise this their ISP to investigate.

    Very frustrating and distracting.

Yes, I am routing through a gmail account and that is now working perfectly well. I wonder if it might have something to do with Delcampe migrating their information through Belgium rather than through Luxembourg as they had been doing? I am also on BT Mail, not Yahoo, so as you say, this may well be just a distraction.

Who knows, I certainly don't have the knowledge to debate the matter with them!

Interesting, I've just started to receive a group of notification emails from Delcampe relating to the missing sales, and some of the missing feedback for the past week or so. I am presuming whoever has been responsible for the 'blockage' has managed to get some released. Get ready for a flood????????????? :dunno: :cool2: :dunno:

    Yes, it is working now.
I have persistently chased Delcampe about this issue and in fact received an acknowledgement that the matter would be passed to their Technical team this morning to look at again.

I suspect that they have found the source of the problem and the blockage has been removed thankfully.

I have changed my email address back ... and this now appears to work though it hasn't been fully tested with loads of sales yet.

Good job! They get there eventually with a bit of persistence. It does seem to be fixed as I know cristohenge is also getting back emails. I'm not going to change my emails as yet as I reckon, having listed a few items this morning, as much as a test as anything else, that the notifications are coming through quicker than they did previously, even before this problem raised its head.

We can but hope that it persists. I can't wait to get the 250+ feedback emails from 1 buyer from about a week ago. :applause: :applause: :applause:

    Lucky you.

The system is working ... fyi Delcampe have advised me that they 'contacted BT from their side'. Not quite sure what that means but clearly they took the initiative to get the 'blockage' sorted out.
