I have just received the following email from one of my customers:

    Hello Mainlypostcards,
Sorry.I tried to pay your request but your link for PayPal payment is broken.
Please send me your PayPal adress I´ll try to pay .

I know this was an issue a few weeks ago, but I can't find the relevant thread.

I assumed the problem had been resolved, as there hadn't been any further complaints, but this is obviously not the case.

    It seems to be ongoing.
Occasionally I have a customer experiencing this problem - no idea what the cause is.
Sometimes the customer waits until the following day and makes the payment OK. Other times they pay me direct or I send a 'PAYPAL Payment Request'. You know all the options. Could be PAYPAL or the PAYPAL/Delcampe interface - who knows. Your guess would be as good as mine.

It's a bit like whether the Delcampe site is available ... randomly it isn't. I think it spooked again this morning.

I missed that. Not been on all day.

Picked one of the hottest days of the year to go down to London for an appointment I booked over a month ago. I feel exhausted after a combination of underground trains and walking several miles.

Purposefully left it until now, to avoid the worst of the summer heat! Might just as well have gone in July or August.

It may be a paypal problem rather than a Delcampe problem.

Yesterday, I tried to make a small pp refund to a purchaser and was unable to do so. Problem still exists today so I had to use the send money routine.

The message was "we are unable to process any refunds for technical reasons".....paypal are upgrading too....:dunno:

I've got another one today too.
He just can't get the Delcampe interface to work.
And so the problem continues ..... :zzzzz:

    Hello Mainly,

We've seen similar complaints, but have not been able to reproduce them, so at this time we can't be sure of it's a PayPal or Delcampe issue.

Could you please tell me your buyer's nickname so we can get in touch with him? Ideally we'd need to see to e-mail and hyperlink he received.

    Thank you in advance!

Here's another complaint ... the 'new' system doesn't interface with PAYPAL correctly. The information about amount appears to be correct but the details of each transaction does not get fed through to PAYPAL. Net, the PAYPAL payment advice only shows the amount and no longer all the purchased items.
Payments made through the 'old' system come through fine.

As usual the Delcampe payment advice is formatted badly.

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your e-mail, it was very helpful in detecting the issue.

The problem seemed to present itself in the "Auction won" e-mail, not the actual invoice. The system is redirecting the buyer to the homepage of the new website, which is obviously not intended.

Our tech team is looking into the matter as we speak.

I've tested other scenarios and everything seems to be working as intended. Should anyone encounter any other difficulties related to this topic, however, don't hesitate to drop me a line in this thread.

    Kind regards,

    Dimitri

    Dimitri,

On a different matter - also a faulty link:

Yesterday I went to the new site to look at something. From the homepage I clicked on the "France" link at the bottom, but got redirected to Del France on the old site. I specifically wanted to look at the new Delcampe France

    Hello Alan,

Could you please give me some more insight on this issue? Who was your buyer and what section of the website did he use? This information will be helpful in detecting the cause.

    Thank you in advance :)

Unsure which problem you are trying to solve?

    Buyer this morning comments:

"I have been attempting to pay for the stamps via PayPal but after I click on "Pay the Invoice" to go onto the PayPal website my screen just goes blank.

I have done this 4 times with the same result."

This buyer thinks it might be some fault created by myself!

There seems to be a continual drip of issues with settlement of invoices on Delcampe which gives no confidence to buyers or sellers.

When I have some time I will send you copies (an example) of the PAYPAL related issue described earlier in this thread which is caused and only occurs when a buyer uses the new system. :smash:

This buyer unable to pay through Paypal is becoming a major issue, it was supposed to be sorted some time ago when I contacted support, some have now paid through a direct paypal money request
