Payment Declined

I have been trying to pay a seller using Delcampe Pay but the transaction is being declined on the grounds that my card limit is up to its maximum. This is not true, so is presumably a standard error message issued when transactions are declined by my bank.
I have been in contact with my bank, Santander, and they tell me that the reason for the refusal to authorise this payment is due to the fact that Delcampe Pay is attempting to process the transaction as a “Chip and Pin” transaction as if I was physically present to make the transaction, instead of processing it as an “Online” transaction.
I have made two successful transactions previously on 14th February using Delcampe Pay which were allowed by my bank (Santander) but they say they cannot authorise further transactions using the “Chip and Pin” method for security reasons.
Can somebody at Delcampe please sort this out?

    Dear "4margins",

    Thank you,

Excuse me Miranda, this is a forum for Delcampe Pay. What is the point of it otherwise?

It would be good to answer the question in a generic way at least, so it can be found by others who may face similar problems.

    Hello,

yes, it is a Delcampe Pay forum but you are having a specific issue with your account.
And whether it's linked to Delcampe Pay or Delcampe, the best thing in case of an issue is to always contact Delcampe through its contact form.
The forum remains a public space to discuss a generic case or imitate a talk about a specific topic.
It cannot be used to receive a personal help to a topic which cannot be discussed on the forum if private details are involved, which is your case here.

The many reasons to use a contact form instead of a forum and this applies to any other website you might use:

    1. It's the direct way to have your case handled by a person of the customer service
    2. Customer service can share with your private details which cannot shared online.
    3. Depending on the volume of emails we receive, forum topics might not be handled as quickly as an email through the contact form.

I'll get back to you again by email.

    Regards,
    Miranda

    Hello,

Yes, if the answer is generic it can help but this means that the case is generic.
This is a particular case that this member is experiencing and the outcome might not benefit other members.

    Regards,
    Miranda
