you encountered this problem which was randomly occurring on one of our API servers. As soon as the server was found to be faulty, it was kicked out by the load balancing process and the problem was gone before coming back a few minutes later
This has been resolved and should not happen again
Unfortunately, this is not correct. Without checking the logs exactly, I would guess that this problem occurs again and again just in time for the weekend. When is a solution in sight?
to make it more confusing, the one item i put for sale resulting in a 504 error yesterday evening did go through and thus is showing for sale on delcampe ... but is missing in my own database as i didn't expect it to go through due to the error shown
Yesterday's interruption was planned and announced: we performed server maintenance from 23:00 to 00:15 (UTC+2). Sales that closed during this period have been automatically extended by 24 hours.
@thomas, are the api problems solved now or not?
delcampe's answers on this issue have been underwhelming and evasive, and up to this point, at least for me, it's completely unknown what the current status is (thread opened on 18/7 already btw)
Hello, the problems seem to have stabilized. The differences between the load distribution and the servers probably no longer occur, we also no longer get timeouts when articles are uploaded with the new fields for the shipping costs templates. It's good ! Thanks.
What is still not good is the whole concept behind the shipping cost templates. The aim of such a system should be that 99% of all sales can also be processed automatically and the buyer can pay immediately without having to intervene manually. Unfortunately, that is not the case here. The legal requirements were only met to a minimal extent here and the method with the least amount of programming effort was chosen. However, this does not create a good buying experience for the buyer and does not reduce the manual effort for the seller in the least. We use the same item master data for ebay and here we have 99% automatic processing. Of course, certain necessary things are also missing on ebay, such as the administrative costs and the dependency of the shipping method on the payment method, but since you have a different range on ebay because of the costs, this is not an essential criterion. All advice on the subject seems to be ignored again. Necessary questions about certain behavior of the system are not answered. We have a lot of articles and we have to plan what will happen there before we switch. Due to the different properties of the articles, it is not possible to depict all of this with one template. So there will hardly be any orders / shopping baskets that only contain items with one template.
