    Hello there.
I am posting on here to ask for some advice.
My late partner collected postcards of all sorts (among other things) and most were sold at auction a while ago. But I have found some more boxes and folders. These are mostly what I think were called 'Black Americana' and were believed to be humorous in the era in which they were made. Although they may be of historical and cultural interest I quite understand that they may be considered offensive. I cannot sell them on Ebay. Does your community have any advice about where they can be sold? Do collectors still buy them?
Thankyou in advance for your help with this.

Thankyou! I obviously did not scroll down far enough. The first couple of pages I saw were only the photograph style postcards. I see the illustration style ones now...

    Hello Kate,
This description would make a wonderful nom de plume on this site. I really have begun to wonder what is actually suitable for ebay, as they have more rules and regulations than the new British Highway Code.. The answer is that yes they are saleable so long as they are not really sick ! I got into postcards because my late partner was seriously into them. We used to do a weekly flea market with cards and antiques and guess who used to be excited at finding what were then called Black Hunour, yes you might have guessed by now, she had a steady stream of very jolly black ladies who jostled for them. That was in the mid 90's. Now some people are being stifled by political correctness but there is still a market for them. Put them on Delcampe who are not spouting over sensitive regulations,
    Best wishes & Good luck,

You are absolutely correct ,they have to many correctness policies and there is even no point to look for any logic.
