Dear Jyerxa,

Thanks very much for your response. Indeed, I suspect the view is from the port of Buffalo. I wish I could find some visual proof to verify it though.

The structure at left should be a Northern Railroads warehouse, but I have not yet been able to find other images of their setup at Buffalo. Unfortunately the lettering outside the building at right is illegible.
