Help identifying France 1997 Cesar

    Hello all!

    I collect all of the stamps engraved by Martin Mörck and have a question about a France stamp that I suspect was engraved by him but am unsure.

    I have found a proof of the France 1997 Cesar issue (see image attached) that carries his name and signature but when checking two different lists of all his engraved stamps it is not listed in either. The stamp also does not include his name unlike his other French stamps that do carry his name in the bottom right hand corner.

    I do not have a French catalogue that lists the designer/engraver and do not own the stamp to know if it is engraved or printed in litho?

    Does anybody know if he did indeed engrave this issue or just make a engraving that was not accepted?

    Any further information is kindly welcomed!

    Hello.
    Martin Mörck did not engrave the stamp,which was printed in rotogravure.
    But he made the "official engraving" that French Post sold alongside the stamp.

    Thank you very much for the comprehensive reply. I never knew that Mörck also engraved these philatelic products as well so it has now opened up a new area of collecting for me!
