Michelangelo on stamps to identyfication

    Hi Everybody,

    I collect philatelic values associated with Michelangelo and his works. Some time ago I bought stamps from the image which appears below.
    This is a trial version of the stamps, which does not come into circulation - at least I could not confirm this. I failed also to determine what country stamps come from. Can anyone could help me identify these stamps ?
    The stamps are a piece of sculpture of Michelangelo's "David" and the Mayan calendar stone. Interesting combination considering that Michelangelo had no idea about Maya. Only thing that connects these two elements are the dates: the exactperiod when Michelangelo made "David", Christopher Columbus arrived in the territory of Central America, occupied by the Maya.

    It looks to me like Sweden or a Poland Specimen.
    And I think that the letters are the artist's name.
    There's a Poland postal card with a similair print.

    I have one question for Worldphila: I thought that I saw all polish postal cards (I live in Poland so polish philately is very familiar to me) but I can't recall which card you might have think. Could you tell me more about this postal card (of course if you know such details): in which year it was released and is it official polish post issue ?

    Sorry, probably it was only in my imagination.
    I have just remembered that it was Kopernikus postal card-1971 addition.
    Sweden is more likely.

    An additional thought.
    About these letters:CSA
    Might be: Czeslaw Slania, Polish-Swedish master engraver and designer of postal stamps and bank notes, Swedish, Danish and Monaco Court Engraver.
