To hit a pheasant with a vehicle then stop to pick it up is legally considered to be poaching, hence illegal, and we take a very dim view of poachers in these parts.

Someone in the vehicle behind can stop and pick it up quite legally though.

The answer: drive in convoy with someone you'd be willing to share a pheasant with.

Not too keen on pheasant by itself, but it makes a cracking casserole with some beef and a bit of venison.

Sorry, can't help with the country but would agree that they are probably Far Eastern:cool: - the dollar value looks similar to Hong Kong ( which they aren't), or more possibly Portuguese Macau.

What I would be almost certain of is that they are revenue or fiscal stamps - they are not postage stamps as they bear no country name - only Great Britain has postage stamps with no name (allegedly because they were the first to issue and therefore don't need a name, which is rubbish, truth is they just don't bother!)

Fiscal or revenue stamps issued for internal use would have no need of any country name. I've tried the British Commonwealth revenues catalogue and can't find them there, hence the Macau suggestion:cool:
