    The UPU problem:
Taiwan is not a member of UPU
Nagorno Karabakh is not a member of UPU
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is not a member of UPU
    - Guess who else is not memebers of UPU?

So a membership of UPU doesn´t count for to be official.

    Unrecognized countries:
-There are many countries which do not recognize other states.
    Israel is recogniced by everyone?
There are many more and historically we have a bunch more to ad to that list.

    De facto:

When the mail with stamps used as postage of the country of origin works without any tricks - it´s OFFICIAL. Like Taiwan and all the countries mentioned above. I don´t have to like it, nor does anyone else. It´s just de facto - making our hobby interesting.

To forward the mail via a third country becasue of political reasons,
as for the countries mentioned above, is not a trick. It´s a rather
intelligent method to forward mail to the receivers wherever they migh be present. Then at the final destination, the officals of the Postal Administation can use marks, remove the stamps and in some known cases even urinate on the letters ( remeber the Cyprus conflict in the 70s) and arrest the receiver depending on the level of the political situation they migh have. However the letter was delivered and the stamps official.

If you want mail from Nagorno Karabakh with stamps of the same country used for postage You can mail me so you can see for your self when you will receive it. Even if you live in Azerbaijan you have a fair chance to receive it. Anything else?

    Hey Guys,

    How about this?

"We have noticed, that some of the stamps you sell are concerned: stamps from Afghanistan dated after 1989, because no stamps have been officially issued after 1989 in Afghanistan.

But the stamps in concern were issued 1998....or not?
Further Afghanistan send tons of letters every day with officially issued stamps so what to say guys?

Anyway, I removed the item for the time beeing until things
    will be straighten up.

Anyone around with knowledge about Afghani stamps?

    Cheers,

    Hi there,

I think to visit a library was a nice approach because everything isn´t about stamps. However, I can recomment the Town Library of Stockholm for philatelic books as well. Of cource the website is in English (in smartEnglish so everyone can understand) How about that huh?

    Link (http)

Here you can navigate: ( to find the french section, german section,
finnish section or the copier or the toilet etc. etc.

    Link (http)

...or make search and RESERVE the books when you drop by.

    Link (http)

Search " filateli " and you´ll get the all titles in any language of your
taste even french titles, I can tell.

Just follow the street right ahead. It´s the pink house at the end
    of the valley...
