NORMAL MINISHEET
!!! THE FIRST SELF-ADHESIVE ISSUE OF LIBYA !!!
Minisheet (size mm.200x230) with 12 self-adhesive stamps (size mm.55x37) face value 1000 dirhams each stamp, 12 LYD Libyan Dinars in total.
Graphic design of the issue has been realized by Dr. Mohammed Moammar Al-Gathafi (his signature is present on stamps)
Stamps have the official logo of the African Union realized with gold foil application. Logo and three-languages inscriptions in the down border also realized with gold foil application
Map of Africa and logo of the African Union in each stamp are embossed. Maps of Africa in the background (light green colour) have a glossy surface.

ERROR/VARIETY MINISHEET
Same as above, missing gold foil application, embossing, glossy surface and "perforations" ("wave" and "perforated" lines, for cut and detach, as we are speaking of self-adhesive stamps)

NOTE
These very special items come from the archives of the former Libyan Posts during the Gaddafi period (Libyan Jamahiriya).
These issues are no more in circulation in the new Libya after 2011
and the most part of the stamps have been officially destroyed by the new Libya Postal Administration authorities.
