1855 French consular post office in Jerusalem, showing a superb strike of the scarce linear postmark Jerusalem 21. Avril 1855 and Jaffa datestamp 22 Avril, reverse witih Beyrout 23 Avril and Paris 17 Mai, envelope with full contents of five pages written by a tourist who describes in detail in French his travels in the Holy Land; envelope with minor tears, very rare with such clear postmarks and with historically interesting contents.
