    I can translate, but the really interesting bits are the placename (first word) and the abbreviated word which I can't really read...

    ? 1917-1918

    That letter could be "n." = nach = "to Russia" or "v." = von = "from Russia", I think. the photo is not too good, maybe a really good scan could help.

    Thank you! Yes, the most interesting word is the first one. A name of the place. May be Ukraine , Carpathia etc.

    The script is a mixture of old German cursive (Kurrent) and modern Latin German script, so it's difficult to say.

    Here's the Kurrent B:

    Another possibility would be Loo or Leo at the beginning, but I can't make out any sensible placename from this.
