If you list on a local website your items are automatically visible internationally but the converse is not true

The relevant Delcampe guide might help you decide which site(s) to use

Hi. I moved from UK to Philippines about 18 months ago.

I then started listed only on the international site because UK ceased to be my "home" market, UK post costs were the same as everywhere else and I needed to use $ rather than £.

I know that France is just a tad closer but the principle is similar.

As a matter of interest, total sales were completely unaffected by my decision to list only on International,,,,,but, due to my location, the sales demographics changed (far more now from Asia, Aus/NZ & USA/Canada,

Actually, I use all of them. Michel or Yvert for Europe & old European colonies, SG for UK & colonies, Scott for Americas. Most cats are useless for China & SE Asia (except to identify)

Good luck on moving over to Philippines & let me know if you need any local assistance. Its :actually been a bit rainy recently (warm rain of course but lots of it) but moving into the dry season shortly.

Nothing that La Belle France cannot offer except 100's of deserted beaches, temperatures rarely below 30C, almost completely unregulated and very inexpensive (a whole family can live quite comfortably on £500 per month....with spare!)
A "house on the beach" in 1/2 acre or so with all services near a rural town costs from £50,000 freehold only.......virtually no taxes
If you drink, alcohol is less than 50p for local hooch; ciggies are 50p per pack
If you are divorced or single of any age up to 100...... foreigners are the "in" thing......
English is widely spoken or at least understood by practically everyone.

    Enough reason?

To return to the subject.......happy selling on D

Good luck with your proposed pension house....maybe we met up sometime as Butuan & Biliran (just off N Leyte) are quite close.

I shipped all my albums & accessories by container ship (took 6 weeks). Loose stuff (especially mint stamps) I took with me as flight luggage. There was absolutely no problem although I do keep all my stocks in an air-conditioned room here because of the humidity.

I also have to take special care in packing envelopes of sold items for the same reason....I learned this 3 years ago the hard way after a couple of losses due to stamps sticking together in transit or postmen carrying packages in the torrential rain (that is one of the endearing features of this area as you know).
