    Could you help me to estimate my item?
    Description of the item: French postage stamp 1858 (Essai 00 ) ,with verification number on the back 10
    Condition: very good
    Year: 1858
    Other useful information (weight, material, dimensions, manufacturer, ...) - depending on the type of item: it' unmarked , pstage stamp TEST 00 dating 1858

    I think this is some sort of essay/proof for the use of Control Figures on the backs of the large Hermes Heads stamps of Greece. The figure "10" on the reverse looks the same as that used for the 1861 Paris print of the 10 lepton value.
    No idea of value, but it is certainly an interesting item.
