All payments are made through the Delcampe website. Depending on the possibilities offered by the seller, you can use PayPal, add a credit/debit card or make a bank transfer to top up your balance. No payments are made by cheque or bank transfer directly to the seller.
The buyer uses the payment methods available on Delcampe on the page"My purchases : Awaiting payment".
A payment that is not sent through the payment system integrated into the website (if accepted by the seller) or Mangopay will be refunded by the seller to the buyer. An unpaid purchase may result in consequences to the buyer's account.
If the seller's sales conditions include additional clauses relating to payment, these are to be considered null and void. The payment conditions of the Delcampe website, as defined in the conditions of use, are the only ones applicable.
Purchases must be paid for within 14 days of receipt of the final statement from the seller.
Paypal or MangoPay (formerly Delcampe Pay) are the available methods of payment.
Prompt payment is much appreciated - the sooner you pay, the sooner you get your item ! If you do not intend to pay within seven days, please let me know as soon as possible.
Suspension of sales to the EU
Please note – sales to EU countries are suspended as of 17 June 2021. This is because, from 1 July 2021, EU countries are collecting VAT on all imports, including those below the previous VAT-free level of €22. If this VAT is not collected at point of sale, items may be stopped at the border and buyers will be liable for the import VAT and probably a handling charge as well. And as I am only a private individual, I cannot access the Delcampe mechanism that allows professional sellers to charge VAT. I apologise to EU customers for this situation.
Postage & packing charges
The tables below show my postage charges, based on current Royal Mail world zones. Royal Mail prices are changing on 7 April 2025 - including an increase from £2.80 to £3.20 for the smallest items - but I am holding all my prices at their current rate for the moment.
Charges for postcards and other small items are given in the first table.
For larger items, I show the shipping weight at the end of the item description as either 100g large letter, 250g large letter, or 500g large letter (these are Royal Mail terms). This should allow you to check the expected postage charge on the relevant table.
Please note - items valued at £20 or above will be sent tracked for the prices shown below (Tracked 24 or 48 for UK, International Tracked for overseas, if service is available). This is to provide additional reassurance and security for buyers as well as myself. Items valued below £20 will be sent 2nd class UK and normal airmail overseas, for the prices shown below.

Please remember that overseas buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. All items will be fully described on a Royal Mail Customs Form as 'sale of goods', with the full value of the items quoted.
All items are packed with protective plastic wallets or similar, inside card-backed envelopes. For large items/lots, I will put these inside padded envelopes as well.

Other conditions
Potential buyers should be aware that postal services worldwide may sometimes be subject to various delays, and deliveries may take longer than usual - please be patient !
I accept returns, buyer pays return postage.
I prefer to give my seller feedback after the successful completion of the transaction. If there any problems, please let me know as soon as possible.
