United States, Scott #5800a, used(o), 2023, Waterfall Set, stamp shows the Deer Creek Falls in Arizona from a photograph by Sandra Woods, professional photographer from Port Angeles, Washington, Deer Creek flows down from springs and through side canyons on the north side of the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon; it is a stunning creek that flows through spectacular canyons as it winds its way toward the Colorado River; and then it ends its journey with a dramatic falls as it plunges 180 feet down into the Colorado River at the Grand Canyon; the post office issued the 2023 Waterfalls set to showcase a small handful of the 17,000 documented waterfalls in America; each one has something special about it that draws visitors from all walks of life to witness their natural beauty and power; the stamps of the set include small, lesser-known waterfalls like Sunbeam Falls in Washington State as well as huge, worldwide attractions like Niagara Falls in New York; but a waterfall is just tumbling water until you see one, or someone photographs it for you; when you utilize the trained eyes and talents of award-winning nature photographers, who know how to capture colors cast by sunlight or reflections from the surrounding moss, rocks, or fall foliage, you have stunning images of nature; issued as a forever stamp in panes of twelve different stamps, each with a counter value of (63 cents), multicolored, serpentine die cut simulated perforations: 10½x10¾ , offset lithography printed by Ashton Potter USA (APU), issued with non-water soluble gum, Scott 2025 Catalog Value: 50¢, slightly off-centered (very fine), horizontal, black-inked, wavy line cancellation across the top half of the stamp and well into the main image, good perforations, stamp was lifted from its mailing envelope using the Bestine solvent and placed on a piece of black trimmed card stock for an attractive and uniform album appearance; mounting and unique demand for one of twelve scarce stamps in the issue, warrants a selling price premium. If you are ordering from the United States, there is only a $US0.68 added postage expense. Also, if you make additional purchases from my offerings, they can all go in one mailing at no extra shipping expense for the added purchases. I will send the purchase by US first class mail, since the relatively low value of the stamp does not warrant signature or tracking mail. Hence the buyer assumes risk of loss or non-delivery. I will keep a scan of my mailing to verify that the correct mailing address was used. If not satisfied, return the stamp to me at your own expense, and I will refund the cost, but not my postage to you. If the stamp is not as described, I will refund the cost and reimburse you for postage both ways.
