Die Landesausstellung lädt ein auf eine Reise durch die bewegte Geschichte der beiden Länder, der beiden Herrscherhäuser der \"Habsburger\" und \"Wittelsbacher\". Die Gemeinsamkeit spiegelt sich aber auch abseits historischer Wurzeln wider.
Vor allem die faszinierende, unberührte Natur der Inn-Salzach Region lässt Österreich und Bayern eins werden. Der Besucher taucht ein in ein Paradies kultureller Schönheiten zwischen Burghausen, Braunau und Mattighofen.
Hier eröffnet sich dem Besucher auch ein umfangreiches Radwanderwegenetz mit zahlreichen Aussichtspunkten in die Gebirgslandschaft der Alpen.
Nicht zuletzt verbindet aber die Liebe zum Bierbrauen die beiden Länder. Zahlreiche kleine Privatbrauereien legen Zeugnis davon ab.
Auch rund um die Landesausstellung ist viel los!
In der diesjährigen Landesausstellung mit dem Titel “ Verbündet-Verfeindet-Verschwägert, Bayern und Österreich\" werden kostbarste Kulturgüter von nationalem und internationalem Rang in den drei Standorten Braunau/Ranshofen, Burghausen und Mattighofen präsentiert. Doch Landesausstellungen sind seit jeher dafür bekannt, dass den Gästen neben der eigentlichen Ausstellung auch ein umfassendes und abwechslungsreiches Rahmenprogramm geboten wird.
In der Region rund um die drei Ausstellungsorte gibt es während der gesamten Dauer der Landesausstellung ein umfassendes Kultur- und Veranstaltungsprogramm, das von musikalischen Darbietungen über Vernissagen und Theater bis hin zu verschiedenen Festen reicht.
Allgemeine Veranstaltungen
Am Vier-Schlösser-Weg von Mining
In der Gemeinde Mining am Inn befinden sich drei Herrschaftssitze: Frauenstein, Mamling und Sunzing. Ein weiterer, Schloss Ering, steht in der bayerischen Nachbargemeinde.
Wer den Weg entweder zu Fuß oder per Rad zurücklegt, wird dabei Wissenswertes zur Geschichte von Habsburgern und Wittelsbachern erfahren. Für Kinder gibt es ein eigenes Vermittlungsprogramm, geführte Touren sind ebenfalls möglich.
Pfarrkirche St. Laurenz in Altheim – Ausstellungen und Konzerte
Von 1516 bis 1539 errichtet, wurde die Pfarrkirche St. Laurenz in Altheim 1664 barockisiert. Sie ist mit prächtigen Stuckdekorationen und einer figuralen Malerei mit Szenen aus dem Leben des heiligen Laurentius ausgestattet. Die L. Mooser-Orgel aus dem Jahr 1845 stellt die größte Denkmalorgel des Innviertels dar. In einer eigenen Ausstellung in der Kirche und in einem
Anbau wird die Rolle der Wittelsbacher bei der Erbauung der Kirche und der Verwaltung von Altheim dokumentiert.
Franz-Xaver-Gruber-Friedensweg
Der Franz-Xaver-Gruber-Friedensweg ist ein künstlerisch ausgestalteter Rundwanderweg. Er liegt in der Oberinnviertler Gemeinde Hochburg-Ach, wo Franz Xaver Gruber, der Komponist des Liedes „Stille Nacht“, geboren wurde. Zusammen mit dem im Jahre 2011 neu gestalteten F. X. Gruber-Museum in Arnsdorf trägt der Weg der weltumspannenden Bedeutung des Liedes „Stille Nacht“ Rechnung.
Franz-Jägerstätter-Weg
Der Wehrdienstverweigerer Franz Jägerstätter wurde am 20. 5. 1907 in St. Radegund geboren, und am 9. 8. 1943 in Brandenburg enthauptet. Im Jahr 2007 wurde er als Märtyrer selig gesprochen. Das ehemalige Wohnhaus seiner Familie ist als Begegnungs- und Gedenkstätte erhalten und kann nach Terminvereinbarung besucht werden. Der neue, 1,5 km lange Jägerstätter-Weg führt von seinem Haus zur Pfarrkirche, mit dem Grab des Seligen, und zum Jägerstätter-Platz.
\"Bergbau an der Salzach 1756 - 1993\" – Gemeinde St. Pantaleon
Es erwarten Sie drei Themenwege an der Salzach in der Gemeinde St. Pantaleon im Oberen Innviertel. Auf dem „Weg der Braunkohle“ wird die Bergbaugeschichte der Region eindrucksvoll dargestellt. Eine Zeitreise beleuchtet die verschiedensten Aspekte der Entwicklung des Bergbaus. Beim „Weg der Energie“ geht es um die Entwicklung der Energiegewinnung und die Bedeutung der Kohlebahn sowie das Museum für Zeitgenössische Metallplastik. Am „Weg der Geschichte und Ökologie“ werden schließlich die Hintergründe der jahrhundertelangen Entwicklung unserer Region aufgearbeitet. Ergänzt wird das Angebot durch interaktive Spielestationen und eine Großbildinstallation am Eingangsportal des Bahnhofes in Trimmelkam. Ein privates Bergbaumuseum in Pirach erweitert zusätzlich das Angebot.
