Attention : Ces revues « Vaillant le journal le plus captivant » et « Vaillant le journal de Pif » datent de plus de 50 ans, les plus anciennes ont 75 ans. Elles ont été imprimées sur du papier très fragile et ont été lues et relues par des enfants. Elles ont souvent été stockées dans une cave ou un grenier et sont donc parfois marquées par la poussière ou l’humidité. Des couvertures avec des numéros découpés se rencontrent régulièrement (invendus ou bon pour obtenir des porte-clefs). Tout cela fait qu’il est commun de trouver des exemplaires marqués par le temps mais ils restent des illustrés exceptionnels pour la qualité de leurs Bandes Dessinées.
Vaillant » est l'ancêtre de « Pif Gadget».C'est l'une des plus populaires revues pour la jeunesse. Elle contient des bandes dessinées mythiques comme « Placid et Muzo», « Pif le Chien », « R. Hudi »,
« A. Babord et Père O.K. », « Arthur le fantôme», « Nasdine Hodja», « Davy Crockett »,« Fifi, gars du maquis », « Les pionniers de l'espérance», « Gil Rob », « Arthur, le fantôme justicier »,«Bob Mallard », « La pension Radicelle », « Ragnar le Viking », « Le Grèlé 7/13 », « Yves le Loup », « Totoche », « Teddy Ted »,« Corinne et Jeannot », etc. Elle est très recherchée des collectionneurs.
Etat:
Imprimés sur du papier journal les plus anciens numéros sont rares et parfois usagés. Le grand format utilisé a rendu la conservation difficile, Ceux proposés ici sont à considérer comme des numéros qui ont été lus et parfois relus. Massicoter les bords des feuilles rendrait très souvent la revue très correcte. Parfois il faudra faire un travail de réparation.
